Some of our Consultants

Business Architect

I have been involved in IT for over 25 years ago and always find myself situated on the cusp of IT and the business.

Starting in the airline industry I supported what was then called 'end-user computing' and thirteen years later was managing an internal systems consultancy group supporting the operational area of the business. A move into consultancy and Differentis enabled me to build experience across a number of businesses in a range of industries including financial services, media, oil and energy, health care, telecommunications, waste management and even computer games. My role as a business architect is to see the big picture and to use a 'toolkit' of techniques and methodologies to describe the need for business technology change across an organisation and outline the impact such change will have on business process.

This was successfully deployed across 70 countries to >4000 users with a multiple language user interface and integrated with finance systems. Business Consultant

I have worked for Differentis now for just over 18 years, having previously worked for a large consultancy firm.

I have enjoyed the opportunities and challenges a smaller firm can provide, and Differentis has provided this through the breadth and depth of the types of projects and roles I have worked on. My progression from business analyst to business architect has been based on experience working on large to mid size projects for a wide range of clients: oil and gas, healthcare, financial services, defence, transport. The work we do with clients is often under challenging circumstances, and the environment we have at Differentis always ensures everyone has the right support to get the job done.

Solution Architect

I have nearly 30 years’ commercial IT experience, gained on a wide variety of assignments. I'm equally comfortable working at board level and with developers and have often operated as the Technical Design Authority (TDA) as part of the management team on large development programmes.

I believe that IT architects have a responsibility that covers the whole lifecycle of a project and that architecture should therefore take into account delivery and operational capabilities.

I have coached architects and built software engineering capabilities, promoting the importance of appropriate culture, methods and tools in underpinning a reliable delivery organisation.
